As an Outside Sales Engineer, you will endeavor to maintain and develop existing customer relationships through quality service and support of their needs. Responsibilities include establishing customer needs, providing high level of technical support, selecting equipment based on scheduled performance and releasing factory and stock orders. This is an excellent career opportunity for a self- motivated, goal oriented team player. This position requires technical understanding of HVAC products and systems, as well as excellent time management, interpersonal, and communication skills.


Job Responsibilities

  • Generate comprehensive customer quotes for multiple products that we represent including but not limited to: air distribution products, terminals, fans and mechanical equipment.
  • Prepare detailed submittals per company standard guidelines
  • Download and plot drawings, specifications, schedules and details as it relates to project quotations.
  • Process stock and factory orders for customers and/or Outside Sales Representatives
  • Answer phone calls, emails, and fax requests from customers relating to: quotations, order processing and tracking, freight claims, product availability, field service or warranty issues
  • Manage/Coordinate projects through the use of the project management system.
  • Ensure desired level of profitability is obtained by consistently following the pricing structure and following established sales processes.
  • Maintain knowledge of HVAC fundamentals and product lines, staying informed of new products; and utilizing opportunities to further educate self, co-workers and customers.
  • Fulfill customer product and service needs by utilizing product knowledge and soliciting help from other team members and other internal resources.

We are actively seeking an articulate, organized and skilled HVAC service technician capable of performing factory certified startup and troubleshooting for equipment sold by our sales group. We’ll provide all the training necessary for you to quickly get up to speed with our products.

This would include but not limited to the following products:

  • Greenheck Dedicated Outdoor Air Products (energy recovery, make up air systems)
  • Intec Gas Detection Equipment
  • Semi-Custom Air Handlers
  • Big Ass Fans
  • Antec Lab and Hospital Controls
  • Danfoss Variable Frequency Drives
  • TSI Room pressure Control Systems


Normal working hours are Monday through Friday. Company vehicle. NO Weekends or On Call Required. Our territory covers Eastern Massachusetts and Southern New Hampshire with occasional work in the other New England States as required.


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Perform startup of equipment based on best practices, factory IOMs
  • Provide detailed on-site equipment evaluations and perform the necessary work including but not limited to field modifications, warranty issues, and controls troubleshooting.
  • Coordinate and confirm service appointments 48 hours prior to scheduled appointment.
  • Able to effectively explain product symptoms and field conditions to factory technicians
  • Provide electronic field reports to the customers, manufacturers and sales staff describing what was found, the work performed during inspections and recommendations.

Education and Experience

  • Experience servicing residential and/or commercial HVAC equipment
  • OSHA Certified

The primary objective is to promote the use our applied represented products with our clients by assisting them with proper selection, application, design, and ultimately approval. This is accomplished through networking with our existing clients consisting of owners and their representatives, end users and mechanical engineers. Our key products target three distinct market segments: mechanical, air distribution, and control based products and systems. A secondary objective is to provide effective communication between the sales/estimating departments as it relates to jobs in process, what engineers will accept verses what they want, and pricing strategies on bringing new products to market.


Engineering Functions

  • Support the local engineering community and in a timely fashion respond to their product application, selection and/or budget requests
  • Work with represented manufactures to coordinate periodic visits to help educate the engineering community on changes in products/technology/code and new product offerings
  • Identify job opportunities through multiple channels and actively pursue them for any/all represented products through the use of engineering calls, manufacturer plant tours, product mock ups, budget analysis, product selection and/or job site visits.  Our goal should be to become basis of design on these project leads

Sales Functions

  • Provide assistance to the sales/estimating department through the targeting of jobs that have been laid out around our products and that we have put forth considerable marketing efforts.  Work with the team to provide guidance on these “Buckley Jobs” as it relates to pricing, options, application, and discounting
  • Maintain detailed reports of all projects in order to keep the sales and estimating team up to speed on current projects
  • Maintain an accurate and updated records database of submittals, product sales bulletins and literature required by the sales team

A Truck Driver is responsible for the transportation of equipment and materials to and from all job sites.


Duties/Responsibilities

  • must have a current and valid relevant state commercial driver’s license
  • must have knowledge and conduct maintenance of single and multi-rear axle trucks meeting the requirements for NY state Commercial Driver’s Licensing (including a general knowledge of laws, regulations and operation of the stated vehicle);
  • perform pre-trip inspections (correctly complete driver’s log book) of his/her vehicle and be able to explain what one inspects and why;
  • maneuver and control the vehicle in a safe fashion, which includes handling the vehicle on-site and in over-the-road situations, proper signaling, searching for hazards, controlling speed, lane positioning, matching speeds to road conditions (wet, dry, snow, or ice), and the ability to drive during the daytime or nighttime;
  • safely load and unload all equipment/materials over all terrains, and properly secure all loads;
  • responsible for routine fueling, and servicing of their vehicle;
  • understand air brake systems if any vehicle is equipped with the system;
  • travel (sometimes in excess of 100 miles from shop) to job sites and work outdoors;
  • when not driving, will be directed by  management on tasks to be completed around shop;
  • may need to occasionally lift and carry up to 50 lbs.;
  • Perform all of the above job functions in a safe manner in order to avoid personal injury and equipment damage.

Work Hours

  • Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday (typical);
  • 8am to 3pm, plus overtime if necessary; (21 hours a week)

Physical Demands

  • must be able to occasionally lift and carry 50 lbs
  • must be able to climb, bend, stoop, kneel, lift overhead, work at heights, walk/work in rough terrain in order to access equipment, tools, materials, and job site in order to complete work

Performance Standards

  • demonstrate the ability to load/unload, secure load, obey highway traffic regulations, and deliver equipment and materials in a timely manner as not to delay production on job sites;
  • must be able to perform pre-trip inspection and properly fill out DOT log book and fuel record;
  • must deliver/pick-up equipment, materials and other supplies in a timely fashion as judged by management
  • must comply with all company safety and personnel policies;
