Achieve IAQ-P Compliance with Verifiable Air Cleaning

Tags: GPS Air, Gridset, IAQP, Indoor Air Quality

GPS Air has introduced the smartIAQ Gridset, a verifiable air cleaner with closed loop monitoring that can help reduce outdoor air requirements, right-sizes HVAC equipment which results in lower utility bills. This is the simple way to turn ventilation efficiency into real cost savings for schools, offices, banks, and other commercial spaces.

Product Features

  • Simple lay-in 48″x24″ T-bar installation, no ductwork required
  • 150 CFM nominal clean-air delivery per unit
  • Whisper-quiet operation at NC-25 maximum
  • 48 VDC low-voltage power delivered over CAT-5
  • Complete filter for particles, VOCs & formaldehyde (20″ x 20″ x 2″)
  • LED status and closed-loop monitoring with service indication

smartIAQ – An intelligent clean air system, validated by third-party testing to the latest standards

smartIAQ combines advanced filtration to remove airborne contaminants with real-time air quality sensing to verify performance. The system dynamically adjusts operation based on contaminant levels—boosting performance when needed and reducing speed once air quality targets are achieved, which helps extend maintenance intervals.

ASHRAE provides the guidance used by design engineers through Standard 62.1, including ongoing updates and validation requirements for air cleaning technologies.

The Indoor Air Quality Procedure (IAQP) offers a performance-based approach to ventilation design, balancing source control, air cleaning, and outdoor air. While Standard 62.1 also includes a prescriptive path to minimize design variability and professional risk, the IAQP can be applied with confidence using the GPS online  calculation tools that deliver predictable, engineered results.

Technical Agenda

  • The Indoor Air Quality Procedure (IAQP) for ASRHAE Standard 62.1 Performance is a more economic and efficient way to ventilate buildings. The most recent updates from ASHRAE make deploying the procedure easier and more appealing
  • New online Ventilation Calculator that speeds the design of more efficient HVAC systems
  • How GPS-iMod can maintain the cleanliness of your Air Handling Unit (AHU) coils with minimal maintenance
  • How air quality actually improves with dedicated ASHRAE-standard-supported air cleaners
  • Discuss the differences between soft ionization and hard ionization
  • Achieving ASHRAE Standard 241 compliance with GPS Air Needle Point Bi-polar Ionization (NBPI)
