Airius Pureair Destratification Fan with Photohydroionization (PHI)
Airius Fans have the option to be ordered with a PHI cell internal to the fan. This factory installed HE/UV light is targeted on a quad metallic target that produces hydroperoxides which kill 99% of bacteria, viruses, and mold on surfaces and 85% of VOCs and odors. The 5” cell is to be used with a short nozzle Airius Air Pear or Designer Series fan.

Airborne infectious isolation rooms (AIIR) are used for patients with easily communicable airborne disease. When there is a shortage of AIIR, existing patient rooms (or temporary care facilities) that can be converted to temporary negative pressure isolation rooms using Fan Filter Units.
Fan Filter Units offer flexibility for facilities requiring negatively or positively pressured and/or filtered spaces.

It is important to understand how airflow measurement can be utilized to maintain minimum levels of outdoor air as well as help control the impact of energy recovery and their potential re-circulation of volatile organic compounds, including viruses.
ERV with Desiccant Wheel
This is accomplished by measuring the airflow on both the supply and exhaust sides of an energy recovery wheel. Ensuring that the supply air pressure is greater than the exhaust air side will prevent the transfer of pathogens back into the fresh supply air stream.
AHU with Economizer Cycle
This is accomplished by measuring the minimum outdoor airflow and controlling dampers to ensure that we maintain desired outdoor air levels.

UV-C Retrofit for Greenheck RVE Dedicated Outdoor Air (DOAS) Unit
Many of our clients are looking for ways to reduce risk of spreading airbourne pathogens via cross-contamination in energy recovery wheels. Positively pressurizing the supply airstream to keep the return air on its own side helps, but does not eliminate the problem of the virus sticking to moisture and transferring through the wheel.
Greenheck can help by providing RVE units to include UV-C lights. See attached example of an RVE-40 with indirect gas and Packaged DX with HGRH. In this case, there is no elimination of coils to make room for the lights, which are placed right after the HGRH coil.

Retrofit Your Existing Powered Aire Air Curtain with UVCAire
With the addition of UV-C light to Powered Aire air curtains, we can now improve safety by helping to eliminate the spread of airborne bacteria and viruses.
These devices are capable of removing up to 99.9 percent of the airborne Coronavirus/COVID-19 pathogens passing through the air curtain.
Powered Aire’s UVC-Aire is available in a stand-alone unit or as a retrofit extension for preinstalled units. The UVC-Aire is also effective against airborne pathogens, bacteria, and other forms of the SARS virus, as well as MRSA.
Of further benefit, the higher the volume of air recirculated through the air curtain, the cleaner it becomes. Multiple passes mean a greater reduction of germs.

Retrofit Existing Diffusers
Retrofit filtration attachments include a 2” filter and a secondary diffuser face and are suspended directly below existing diffusers so that ductwork changes are not required. Held in place between the t-bar ceiling grid and the original diffuser, this attachment forces air from the original diffuser through a filter before being discharged through the secondary diffuser face. These retrofit filtration attachments protrude 6” from the ceiling providing a visual reminder of the additional precautions taken to provide air cleanliness. Filters are accessible from the room side, by sliding the filter in or out of the side access panel.
New Diffusers with Integrated Ceiling-Access Filters
Diffusers with ceiling-access filters have a 6” plenum box and are installed on top of the t-bar ceiling grid, replacing existing diffusers. These diffusers have integrated filters that require access to the ceiling plenum for periodic replacement. Filters are slid in or out of this diffuser though a hinged access door on the side of the unit.
New Diffusers with Integrated Room-Side Accessible Filter
Diffusers with room-side accessible filters have a 6” plenum box and are installed on top of the t-bar ceiling grid, replacing existing diffusers. As the name implies, room-side replaceable filters provide convenient access to the filter from the room side for periodic filter replacement. These filters make use of a gel seal on the filter frame and a knife edge flange on the diffuser to create a reliable seal that prevents filter bypass. Filters are available in MERV 13/15 for at lest 95% viral particle removal or HEPA for 99.99% filter efficiency.
